4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
■ Veterans Benefit Recovery Augmentation Plan (AB 1814): Bobby Price discussed the Veterans Benefit Recovery
Augmentation Plan (AB 1814) which would amend language within the California Military and Veterans Code to
supplement or augment the understaffed and under budgeted Veteran's Services Division of the CDVA.
■ Chula Vista Veterans Home Wi-Fi installation status: Bobby Price said that the Wi-Fi installation was delayed due
to security issues but is back on track. Installation will begin in the following week and should take approximately 3
weeks to install.
■ Veteran of the Year: AY Casillas stated there are 4 months until the selection of the Veteran of the Year. AY will
start advertising for nominees. Gene Pellerin will be attending a meeting with City Manager and will ask everyone
attending the meeting to consider nominating a Chula Vista veteran. The meeting will be held March 12, 2008 from
6:00pm—7:30pm.
■ Veterans Outreach Program and United Veteran's Council Project, "Veteran's Outreach": Gene Pellerin would like
• to keep the project on the agenda.
