4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
■ Skateboards on the Walk of Honor at the Chula Vista Veterans Park: Bobby Price suggested letters to be sent
to the City of Chula Vista, Recreation Department, as well as City Council and the Mayor's office. Letter to
state recommendations such as posting proper, visible signs in the park and have police officers enforce the
ordinance by issuing citations.
• Bobby Price report on his installments at Post 2111 and state political news: Bobby Price stated he is the Post
Commander for 2111. He also discussed state political news stating GI for 21 century passed.
• Veteran of the Year: Bobby Price discussed the 3 candidates for Veteran of the year. Stephen Sprenkle made
• a motion to have James Galliher as Veteran of the Year for 2008, seconded by Terry Jensen.
■ Annual Chula Vista Veteran's Advisory Commission Summary of Activities: The summary of activities was
distributed and reviewed. The summary of activity was completed by Gene Pellerin and submitted to the City
Clerk's Office.
■ Veteran's Advisory Commission Vacancy: Bobby Price asked to spread the word if there is anyone interested
in joining the Veteran's Advisory Commission. Stephen Sprenkle stated he might know of individuals
interested in applying.
