RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF NINE
POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6132 authorizes the City of
Chula Vista to participate in a cooperative bid with the City of
San Diego for purchases, and
WHEREAS, said procedure requires the adoption of a
resolution designating the City of San Diego as the City's agent
in making the purchase, and
WHEREAS, the City of San Diego under Bid No. 7705
requested bids for 168 police patrol vehicles for San Diego and 9
for the City of Chula Vista, arid
WHEREAS, the bid was awarded to Center City Ford for the
Ford "Crown Victoria" police package sedan at a price of
$10,932.98 per vehicle, including sales tax, minus the $300 cash
discount, and
WHEREAS, the vehicle is acceptable to the Director of
Public Safety, and
%~HEREAS, the current budget provides for the purchase of
the nine police patrol vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby authorize the purchase of
nine police patrol vehicles under the City of San Diego Bid NO.
7705 from Center City Ford for a total purchase price of
$98,381.55.
