RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF CITYLINK
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, staff has evaluated various automated
legislative information systems that would make more efficient
use of staff resources and provide immediate up-to-date
information on new legislation and on recent changes to pending
legislation, and
WHEREAS, of the systems evaluated, only CITYLINK
provided by the League of California Cities offered an automated
information system which was geared specifically to the interests
of Chula Vista, and
WHEREAS, it is expected that CITYLINK will enhance the
City's ability to successfully participate in the legislative
process, and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that CITYLINK will cost
approximately ~2,890 for the first year of operation with ongoing
costs estimated at ~1,890 per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby approve the purchase of
CITYLINK.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Chula Vista does hereby appropriate ~2,890 from the
unappropriated balance of the General Fund for purchase of
CITYLINK.
