HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA Reso 2000-1669 RESOLUTION NO. 1669 RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGI !NCY OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING AN OVVNER PARTI{ ;IPATION AGREEMENT VVITH THE ORTIZ CORPORATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GARAGENVAREHOUSE AT 788 ENERGY WI ,Y WITHIN THE OTAY VALLEY ROAD REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT A {EA WHEREAS, the Ortiz Corporation owns property at 788 Energy Way, which is diegrammatically shown in the Locator Map attached to the Owner Participation Agreement and incorporated herein by reference; and, WHEREAS, the Ortiz Corporation has presented developr lent plans for the construction of a 3,533 sq. ft. garegeh, varehouse to be used for minor repair and main .~nance of vehicles and storage at their existing construction yard ("Project"); and WHEREAS, the site for the proposed Project is located wi tin the Otay Valley Road Redevelopment Project Area under the jurisdiction and control of the Redevelopme~: Agency of the City of Chula Vista; and, WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee reviewed anc recommended that the Redevelopment Agency approve the proposed Project subject to the conditions list~ ~ in Exhibit B of the Owner Participation Agreement; and, WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Ch Jla Vista has been presented an Owner Participation Agreement, said agreement being on file in the Offlc~ of the Secretary to the Redevelopment Agency and known as document RACO-00-08, approving lhe construction of a 3,533 sq. ft. garageN/arehouse to be used for minor repair and maintenance of vehicles and storage, depicted in Exhibit A and subject to conditions listed in Exhibits B of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA does hereby find, order, determine and resolve as follows: 1. The proposed project is consistent with the Otay Vall~ey Road Redeveopment Plan and shall implement the purpose thereof; the project shall assist With the elimination of blight in the Project Area. / 2. The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista ~ereby approves the Owner Participation Agreement with the Ortiz Corporation for the constructi(in of a 3,533 sq. ft. garageN/arehouse at their existing consb'uction yard located at 788 Energy V~ ~ay, in the form presented in accordance with plans attached thereto as Exhibit A and subject 13 conditions listed in Exhibits B of said agreement. 4. The Chairman of the Redevelopment Agency is hereby ~uthodzed to execute the subject Owner Participation Agreement between the Redevelopment ,~ lency and the Ortiz Corporation. 5. The Secretary of the Redevelopment Agency is authc zed and directed to record said Owner Participation Agreement in the Office of the County Rec¢ rder of San Diego, California.
