RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMEN']' AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROPRIATING ~ 30,000 FROM THE
OTAY VALLEY ROAD PROJECT FUND T() THE BAYFRONT
PROJECT FUND AS A PARTIAL LOAN ~,EPAYMENT AND
TRANSFERRING FUNDS TO THE PROJEC" ST964 ACCOUNT
FOR THE FINANCING OF STAFF COSTS ~ND MAKING THE
NECESSARY FINDINGS IN CONNECTION T -tEREWITH
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has detErmined that the installation and
increased capacity of the waterline in E Street from Broadwa to Interstate 5 will benefit both the
Bayfront Redevelopment Area and Town Center II Redevelo ment Area; and
WHEREAS, the increased water capacity will sen .~ and facilitate redevelopment of
underutilized and physically deteriorated property on the Bay1 "ont as well as along E Street; and
WHEREAS, the upgrade will assist in the eliminat on of blighting conditions and is
consistent with implementation plans adopted for both ~e Bayfront and Town Center II
Redevelopment Areas; and
WHEREAS, other monies are committed to other ~ecessary projects and the City's
agreement to share costs with Sweetwater does not cover the cost of the upgrade which is
$30,000; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency will contribute $30,000 to the project for
Engineering staff reimbursement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED based upon the above findings and
determinations the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Ct' ula Vista does hereby appropriate
$30,000 from the Otay Valley Road Project Fund to the Bay1 font Project Fund as a partial loan
repayment and approve transferring funds to the Project S' '-964 Account for the financing of
staff costs.
