HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA Reso 1998-1592 AGENCY RESOLUTION NO. 1592 and HOUSING AUTHORITY RESOLU'r iON NO. 7 JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AG'~NCY AND HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF CH~ JLA VISTA ADOPTING THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND I-OUSING AUTHORITY BUDGETS FOR FY 1998-99 AND APPROPRIA'~ lNG FUNDS THEREFOR WHEREAS, Redevelopment Agency staff hav,~ prepared budget requests for various redevelopment project areas and the Redevelopment Low an( Moderate Income Housing Fund; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has determined that the planning and administrative expenses proposed for the Low and Moderate ncome Housing Fund are necessary for the production, improvement, or preservation of Iow and mo( erate-income housing; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of t ~e City of Chula Vista, after a Public Hearing, has reviewed and approved the budget contained in fl ~nd numbers 980, 981,985,990, 991, 992, 993 and 994, and has determined that the planning and ~ dministrative expenses for non-housing redevelopment purposes are necessary for the elimination of ight within the respective project areas; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of ChL ~ Vista adopted the City's final operating and capital budgets for FY 1998-99 after a Public Hearing on J Jne 17, 1997 which included "transfers in" from the Redevelopment Agency Bayfront/Town Centre project for liability insurance ($15,000 to Fund 100) and a loan to the Bayfront Conservancy Trust ~252,541 to Fund 415). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Rec ~velopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista does hereby appropriate funds for the purposes set forth in the 1998-99 Redevelopment Agency Budget submitted by the Executive Director, subject to the same terms, conditions and authorities given to the City Manager over the City's budget, summarize by Fund Number as follows: FUND PROJECT/PROGRAM AMOUNT 100 Liability Insurance $15,000 415 Loan to BCT 236,341 930 Housing Authority 1,500 982, 983, 984 Debt Service - Bayfront TAE 2,563,905 981 RDA Housing Program (CHIF 301,000 985, 986 Southwest Project 491,641 990, 995 Bayfront/Town Centre I 2,246,951 991 Redevelopment Fine Arts 25,951 992, 997 Town Centre II Project 1,703,099 993, 998 Low/Mod Income Housing 931,027 994, 996 Otay Valley Project 730,988 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Re¢ velopment Agency hereby finds and determines that (1) the planning and administrative expens.~s proposed for the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund are necessary for the production, irt provement, or preservation of Iow and moderate-income housing; and (2) the planning and ad~ninistrative expenses for non-housing redevelopment purposes are necessary for the elimination of t light within the respective project areas.
