ACTION ITEMS a) DVBE update: Update on the City of Chula Vista’s Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) program. b) Fallen Veteran Memorial at Memorial Park. Discussion of placement of memorial and of possible replacement. c) American Flags and Fallen Hero Memorial banners on 3rd Avenue. d) Fallen Heroes Posters. e) Chula Vista Veterans Park Brick Program. Discussion of possibly inviting representative for the Brick Program to a future VAC meeting to discuss how the money raised is broken down. f) Veteran Home Golf Tournament g) Veteran of the Year. h) Coronado 4th of July Parade. i) Stand Down San Diego 2016 request for funds. j) South Bay Veterans Food Drop/Bank k) Wheelchairs for Veterans l) Commissioner Keith Blum’s absence from April meeting m) Veterans Activities Report: Commissioner Whitehead’s report on Veterans Activities for the month of April 2016.
