HomeMy WebLinkAboutcc min 1969/07/31 CALIFORNIA NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL Pursuant to Section 307 of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista and Section 1.15 of the Chula Vista City Code July 30, 1969 A special meeting of the Chula Vista City Council is hereby called at the hour of 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 31, 1969, to be held in Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 276 Guava Avenue, Chula Vista, California, 92010. The following items will be considered at said meeting: 1. Disposition of Silver Strand Ferry Boat. 2. Resolution holding harmless the San Diego Unified Port District for any financial responsibility for the Silver Strand Ferry Boat. 3. Discussion of Williams Ranch Annexation/Bonita-Sunnyside Fire District proposal and Local Agency Formation Commission meeting on August 5, 1969. This notice shall be delivered personally to all members of the Chula Vista City Council and to the Chula Vista Star News and the San Diego Union Tribune prior to the hour of 7:00 P.M., July 30, 1969. Mayor of the Ci~ of Chula Vista MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA Held Thursday July 31, 1969 The City Council met at 7:10 P.M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall pursuant to notice of consent to hold a Special Meeting for the purpose stated below. The following Councilmen were present: Councilmen Sylvester, Hamilton, McCorquodale, McAllister, Sylvester; absent, none. Also present: Administrative Officer pro rem Sullins, City Attorney Lindberg DISPOSITION OF SILVER STI~AND FERRY BOAT It was moved by Mayor McCorquodale, seconded by Councilman Scott, and carried that the staff be directed to dispose of the Silver Strand Ferry Boat at the earliest possible date. The motion carried by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen McCorquodale, Scott, Hamilton Noes: Councilmen Sylvester, McAllister Absent: None RESOLUTION NO. 5301~- Holding harmless the San Diego Unified Port District for any financial responsibility for the Silver Strand Ferry Boat Offered by Mayor Mc¢orquodale, the reading of the text was waived by unani- mous consent, passed and adopted by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen McCorquodale, McAllister, Scott, Sylvester, Hamilton Noes: None Absent: None DISCUSSION OF THE WILLIAMS RANCH ANNEXATION/BONITA-SUNNYSIDE FIRE DISTRICT PROPOSAL AND LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION MEETING, August 5, 1969 It was moved, seconded and carried unanimously that the City Attorney should appear at the Local Agency Formation Cormnission meeting on August 5, to represent the City and express the City's position regarding the proposals for agreement with the Bonita-Sunnyside Fire District. ADJOURNMENT Mayor McCorquodale adjourned the meeting at 8:50 P.M. City Clerk
