CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
JUNE 12, 2002 4:00 P.M.
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Chula Vista was called to
order at 4:05 p.m. in the Council conference room, located in City Hall, 276 Fourth Avenue,
Chula Vista, California.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Councilmembers: Davis, Padilla, Rindone, Salas, and Mayor Horton
(Councilmember Salas arrived at 4:07 p.m., and Mayor Horton
arrived at 4:15 p.m.)
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Rowlands, City Attorney Kaheny, City Clerk Bigelow

Staff from the various departments reported on the above-listed programs. Assistant City
Manager Powell presented a list of proposed changes to the draft budget document for Council
consideration.
ACTION: Councilmember Rindone moved to approve in concept the proposed Fiscal Year
2003 budget. Councilmember Davis seconded the motion, and it carried 5-0.

Councilmember Rindone asked Councilmembers whose schedules permitted to attend the U.S.
Army Recruiting Center's celebration on Thursday, June 13, 2002, between 10:00 and 10:30
a.m. to present a proclamation.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Horton adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m. to the Regular Meeting of June 18, 2002, at
6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
