RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHLiL.A VISTA M.AICR�'G VARIOUS AA4ENDMENTS TO THE
FISCAL YEAR 2015/2016 BliDGET TO ADJUST FOR
VARIANCES AI�'D .APPROPRIATII�G FUI�'DS THEREFOR
V�'HEREAS. the Cit�� Chaner states that at an�� meeting afrer the adoption of the budset;
the Cin� Council ma� amend or supplement the budeet b�� motion adopted b}� the affirmati��e
��otes of at least four members: and
V1'HEREAS. staff has completed the budget re��ie��� for the quaner ending December 31;
201� and is recommendina a number of budaet amendments: and
V1'I-IEREAS, staff is recommendine approaimatel�� �1.0 million in ne�v appropriations to
��arious departments in the General Fund that �-ill be offset b�� �0.4 million in new re��enues
resulting in an impact of$0.6 million; and
A'HEREAS, the recommended appropriations in the General Fund include a $0.� million
transfer to the Workers Compensation Fund to fund settlements not included in the Fiscal Year
2016 budget and also include a $0.1 million transfer to the De��elopment Sen�ices Fund for
buildine and impro��ement plan processing due to increased acti��it�; and
�\'HEREAS, the appropria[ions to the State Grants Fund and the Development Sen�ices
Fund aze revenue offset resultine in no net fiscal impact to these funds; and
�'�jHEREAS, the appropriation in the Workers Compensation Fund is not fullv revenue
offset and ti�ill result in a net impact of $0.9 million that will be funded from the a��ailable
balance of this fund: and
WHEREAS, the appropriation of $2,61� to the Transportation Sales Ta� (TransA'et)
Fund is excess re��enue received from SANDAG to fund capital improvement project OP218 for
Cacros �1'ren Habitat Restoration that needs to be refunded to SANDAG as this projected has
been completed.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED bv the Citv Council of the Cirv of Chula Vista
that it amends the Fiscal Yeaz 201�/2016 budaet and appro��es the follo��ine appropriations/
transfers:
