What if I take my RV to a shop and must park on the street while walking in to the paRs or service area to request service. An officer comes by, sees it, and cites me for lack of permit. What if I need to run into a store and the lot won't fit me so I park on the street? What if I finished loading/unloading and went in the house for several minutes to get last minute items, go to the bathroom, check locked windows, doors, etc., and an officer comes by while I'm doing that? How does the ocer know if the RV is broken down and immovable if I'm not with the vehicle? What does this say to visitors to the city who have no idea and do any of the above or stops at a park to stretch and eat and get ticketed? I heard that signs will go up at entrances to the city, but these are not effective as they can often be missed due to watching for traffic, seeing where it is you need to go upon entry, etc. Why not mark tires and if still there 12 or 24 hours later, then ticket if no permit? Whatever is implemented does need to have a first time warning so residents know. Please consider the many unconsidered scenarios and unintended consequences before finalizing this.
