BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES
Vice -Chair Mellor stated that the Library could be a great resource to CVESD to
help communicate and publicize events. Library can provide facility and help with
programming and babysitting while the parents are at the meetings. The CVESD is
in the process of hiring someone to coordinate events for parents.
Director Waznis added that the CVESD is also trying to reach out to families of
veterans. The Library has received a grant to have more veterans outreach. This
could be another opportunity for a partnership.
Chair Young asked if there will be ongoing discussions with Superintendent
Escobedo.
Vice -Chair Mellor stated that she hopes to continue the conversation with
Superintendent Escobedo and to start talking to the veterans' representative and
parent committee members.
Chair Young requested "School District Update" as an agenda item under Old
Business at the next Board meeting.
