HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1991-16102 RESOLUTION NO. 16102 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR lg90-91 BUDGET AND RESOLUTIONS 15823 AND 15824 TO CREATE THE POSITION OF REVENUE MANAGER IN THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT, PLACING THE POSITION IN SALARY BAND E-2 OF EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, it is desirable to have a position in the City which will ensure that the City receives appropriate reimbursements for staff services'provided to Sewer, Transit, Redevelopmerit Agency and other non-General Fund operations, ensure that the value of staff services provided on development-related projects are fully reimbursed to the General Fund, ensure that City fees are up to date and that new fees are developed as appropriate, and ensure that the City's business license tax is properly enforced; and WHEREAS, the level of responsibility and authority for managing the revenue process is on par with the responsibilities of other executives and warrants placement in the Executive Service; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that the position be placed in Executive Management in Salary Band "E-2" ($50,160 to $75,600) and be provided with Executive level benefits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby amend the Fiscal Year 90-91 budget to add a position in the Finance Department called "Revenue Manager". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Attachment B to Resolution No. 15823, being the Executive Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 90-gl as shown on Attachment 1 hereto, is amended to add the position of Revenue Manager to Executive Salary Band E-2 at a salary between $50,160 and $75,600 annually. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Attachment 2 to Resolution No. 15824, being the Executive and Middle Management Fringe Benefit Schedule as shown on Attachment 2 hereto, is amended by adding the position Revenue Manager to the Executive Group Membership in Section IA thereof. Resolution No. 16102 Page 2 ' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $14,800.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Finance Department Account No. 100-0420 in order to provide the necessary funds for the balance of this fiscal year for said position.
