MAI.\'TENANCE DISTRICT
R�"HEREAS, prior to the adoption of this Resolution. the City Council caused the
formation of earious districts under and pursuant to state law; and
R%HEREAS, pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 1. part 2 of Division 1� of the Califomia
Streeu and Hiehwavs Code, also kno���n as "Landscapine and Liehting Act of 1972" and Chula
Vista Municipal Code Chapter 17.07, �'illdan Financial Sen�ices has prepazed and filed; on
behalf of and under the direction of the Cit� Ensineer. the annual Engineers Report for all
existing Open Space Maintenance Districts in the Ciri•; and
VdHEREAS. on June 16. 201�. Council appro��ed the Engineers Report and set Jul�� 14,
2015 as the date for the public hearing; and
�'HEREAS. the proposed assessments for Fiscal Year 201�/2016 aze as follows:

(1)The Projected Revenue are preliminary figures based upon the prior year's EDU assignments and the Mazimum Rates for Fiscal
Year 2015I16.
(2)OSD 33 was formed several years ago in anticipation of development. The project has not progressed and consequently there is no
maintenance required. Should the project develop in the future the District may be assessed to cover future maintenance expenses.
(3)Bay boulevard rates are based on acres.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista held a public hearing on the date
and time set for such hearin�: and
WHEREAS, all interested persons were afforded the opportunity to hear and be heard;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered all oral statements and written protests made or
filed by all interested persons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista, as to all Open Space and Maintenance Districts referenced in this Resolution, as follows:
1. That it finds that written protests against the proposed assessment have not been
made by owners representing more than one-half of the area of land to be
assessed.
2. That it confirms the diagram and assessment contained in the Engineer's Report.
3. That it orders that the open space and maintenance facilities be maintained.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the
adoption of this Resolution constimtes the levy of assessments and collectibles as proposed in the
Engineer's Report for the 2015/2016 Fiscal Year for Open Space Districts 2 through 7, 11, 14,
15, 17, 18, 23, 24, 26, 31 and 33, and Bay Boulevard Maintenance District.
