RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUI`'CIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUL.A VISTA LEV'1'II�'G THE ASSESS�4ENTS AND
COLLECTIBLES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 201�/2016 FOR
CITY OPEN SPACE DISTRICTS 9. ]0. AI�TD THE TOV�T�'
CE\'TRE ?�4AII�'TENAI�'CE DISTRICT
VIHEREAS, prior to the adoption of this Resolution. the Cit�� Council caused the
formation of various districts under and pursuant to state la��: and
WI-IEREAS: pursuant to .Article 4, Chapter l. part Z of Di�ision 1� of the California
Streets and Hiehwa��s Code, also kno���n as "Landscapine and Lightine Act of 1972" and Chula
Vista Municipal Code Chapter 17.07. Willdan Financial Sen�ices has prepazed and filed; on
behalf of and under the direction of the Citv Engineer, the annual Engineers Report for all
eaistin2 Open Space Maintenance Districts in the Cit�; and
��HEREAS, on June 16, 201�. Council approved the Engineer`s Report and set Julv 14;
201� as the date for the public hearing_ and
V�'HEREAS, the proposed assessments for Fiscal 1'ear 201�/2016 are as follo«�s:

(1)Town Centre retes have been based on parcel square footage since FY 2001/02. However,a Downtown PBID replaced this Distrid
in 2007,but the City determined that there was some potential long-term exposure for the City based on ihe remote potential that ihe
curtent PBID might not receive sufficient support for renewal processes.
(2)The Projected Revenues are preliminary figures based upon the prior years EDU assignments and the Maximum Rates for Fiscal
Year 2015/2016.

and time set for such hearina: and
WHEREAS, all interested persons ���ere afforded the opportunit}� to hear and be heard;
and
�1'HEREAS, the Cit�� Council considered all oral statements and ��ritten protests made or
filed b�� all interested persons.

NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista, as to all Open Space and Maintenance Districts referenced in this Resolution, as follows:
1. That it finds that written protests against the proposed assessment have not been
made by owmers representing more than one-half of the area of land to be
assessed.
2. That it confimis the diagram and assessment contained in the Engineer's Report.
3. That it orders that the open space and mainteuance facilities be maintained.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the
adoption of this Resolution constimtes the lev}� of assessments and collectibles as proposed in the
Engineers Report for the 201�/2016 fiscal year for Open Space Districts 9, 10 and the Towme
Centre Maintenance District.
