HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1991-16066 RESOLUTION NO. 16066 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING $500 FROM THE PUBLIC ARTS ADVISORY COUNCIL OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the newly formed Cultural Arts Commission is in the process of establishing a cultural arts plan for the City; and WHEREAS, the State of California Arts Council has advised staff about the importance of utilizing the expertise of a trained professional while formulating an arts plan, particularly when you have diverse interests on a Commission; and WHEREAS, the State has supported Chula Vista's planning efforts by allocating $500 as "pass through" funds to the County of San Diego and earmarked for the City of Chula Vista; and WHEREAS, this money is specifically allocated for to pay for a facilitator to assist the new commission with goal-setting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chu]a Vista does hereby accept $500 from the Public Arts Advisory Council of San Diego County, and appropriates said resource to Account No. 100-1511-5201 for use in connection with retaining a facilitator to assist the Cultural Arts Commission.
