RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT, AFTER MEETING
AND CONFERRING WITH THE APPROPRIATE BARGAINING UNITS, A
MILITARY LEAVE BENEFIT THAT HE DEEMS APPROPRIATE FOR ALL
REPRESENTED AND UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE,
ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby directed to meet and confer with
all recognized City bargaining units for the purpose of negotiating an
amendment with said bargaining units to provide for such extended military
leave benefits that he deems appropriate.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby delegated the authority, and is
hereby directed to implement same, after he has met and conferred with all
recognized bargaining units, an extended military leave benefit for all
represented employees that he deems appropriate, not to exceed th authority
granted to him by the City Council in the manner and to the extent in
executive session.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby directed to report back to the
City Council the extent to which he has used this authority.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon adoption hereof.
