First Name Veronica Last Name Nuncio- Ramirez Email Address Comments I am not supportive of this change for various reason. We came beofre the planning commisson in 2012 about removing our commerical area. We voiced our concerns or increase in traffic, overcrowding our schools, increase in crime and just Chula Vista does not have the police force to support the current problems or enforce parking concerns that we already are experiencing. Eastlake 3 pays the highest melrose dues and our quality of live has deterated. Please consider our concerns. To be told that mistakes were made after the fact is too late. We could use more commerical for the addtional 7000 homes that are currently being built. Please listen to our concerns. Eastlake is already feeling the effects from too much forced overcrowding by the City. Please reconsider this action. First Name ryan Last Name davies Email Address Comments Regarding the open lot on the corner of olympic parkway and eastlake parkway in Chula vista: as a homeowner in the area who lives by the Olympic Training Facility, I have already felt the effects of overcrowding with the lake pointe project. Currently there is a high density apartments being built across from the Vons on Eastlake Pkwy which is only going to contribute to increased traffic and crowded schools and parks. I am writing this to voice my concern about any proposed high density development on the corner of olympic parkway and eastlake pkwy. Please keep this area available for commercial use. First Name Enrique Last Name Castillo Email Address enriciue @c- asoc.com Comments As a concerned Eastlake Trails homeowner, it has come to our attention that there is a proposed plan to build more apartment units at the current Otay Ranch Mall corner of Olympic Pkwy and Eastlake Pkwy. This plan seems to consist of the same "sneak tactics" that were used at the sites near the Olympic Training Center, areas that had been destined for commercial use (according to the plans we were presented when we purchased our home). Please advise and make us aware of any public hearings, notices, communications that this may involve this decision. First Name Yolanda Last Name Rocha Email Address Comments RE: CHANGE FROM COMMERCIAL TO RESIDENTIAL USE ON CORNER OF OLYMPIC PARKWAY AND EASTLAKE PARKWAY Not again!! I am livid that you are in process of adding more overcrowding to my community. I live in Eastlake Vistas, where you have approved developers projects to add high- density apartments (Casa Lago) and Lake Pointe high- density condos although homeowners opposed the projects for three years and tried desperately to stop the developments to no avail. Now, you're going to stick it to us AGAIN ?? We pay the highest property taxes in the city; not only that, we pay Mello -Roos; if that wasn't bad enough, we also pay HOA dues. The City must stop adding more and more residential units (600) as you're proposing to do now by the Otay Ranch Mall!! You're using us as a dumping ground! Are we the CITY'S GOLD MINE? We didn't vote for politicians who are partnered with developers to the detriment of existing home investors! Stop the expansion. Provide commercial projects that will result in JOBS, not more residential units that will only contribute to City's pockets and destroy what little we have left of the quality of life we thought we were investing in!! You're only going to make matters WORSE: more traffic congestion, more parking problems, more crime, and more overcrowding! Listen to your constituents. WE DO NOT WANT RESIDENTIAL UNITS TO REPLACE COMMERCIAL USE LAND PLANS! Thank you, City of Chula Vista This is an automated message generated by the Vision Content Management System'". First Name Darlene Last Name Harris Email Address Comments Hello, Information has come out the city is looking at putting an additional 600 units at the corner of Olympic and eastlake pkwy. First I am not in favor and will be spreading this information widely. Second - Why? There is so much overcrowding in our schools. Have you ever come around when it is time to drop off or pick up a student? Made your self available for any football game at the high school? Where do you think one more car is going to fit? Or one more student? Olympian and Otay Ranch are feeling the pinch. Please stop trying to fit more people into zip code 91915. You are making a mockery of the neighborhood by continuing to stuff people in. Thank you, City of Chula Vista This is an automated message generated by the Vision Content Management SystemTM. I just discovered that the city is prepared to re -zone property at the corner of Olympic Parkway and Olympic Parkway. Please listen to the community and reconsider the proposed 600 units to be built on this property. I know the city is interested in tax revenue, but do not diminish the quality of the community with more apt /condo units. This would impact the enrollment in our Elementary and Secondary School . We currently have students living in Eastlake that cannot go to the school across the street because of open enrollment and all the new units, such as those that are opposite to the Olympic Training Center. This will increase the impact on traffic going to and from school. I am a citizen of Chula Vista and very proud to have lived here almost my entire life. Please do not make us just another conglomerate of Apt /Condos. This is not the story we were told when we purchased into the community of Chula Vista - Eastlake STAN CANARIS EASTLAKE RESIDEN T Pat Laughlin From: Department Administration Subject: FW: City of Chula Vista Development Services Contact Us - Web Notification From: Webmaster Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2015 7:39 PM To: Department Administration Subject: City of Chula Vista Development Services Contact Us - Web Notification A new entry to a form /survey has been submitted. First Name Cynthia Last Name Dionisio Email Address Comments I am writing you today with a huge concern for our community. I am a homeowner of the Eastlake community. I was informed that the City is intending to build more units? We have already been affected by the over - crowding, not only have our schools been highly impacted and the growing traffic, but parking is a major problem. Residents in the apartment complexes and condominiums are forced to park in our community and in any street parking available. What about the increased vandalism since you approved the low income housing? Your organization is only interested in creating more housing but not considering the impact it has had on the Eastlake Community. Proper planning and development weren't considered for the over population. I do not approve of 600 MORE UNITS!! First Name Lisa Last Name North Email Address Comments I cannot believe that the city is planning on replacing well needed commercial development with 600 MORE CONDOS /HOUSING UNITS at the Commercial Corner near Otay Ranch Mall. Eastlake is so overcrowded already. Eastlake high has nearly 4,000 students. Ridiculous! The elementary schools are overcrowded. We need shopping, hotels, etc, NOT MORE HOUSING! I am disgusted at what is happening to our community. I have been an Eastlake homeowner for 15 years. TOO MANY PEOPLE!!!
