2 RESOLUTIONN OF INTENTION TO CLOSE UP im VACATE A PORTION
OP 4TH.STREET IN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA?CALIFORNIA.

RESOLVED,by the Board of Trustees of the City of Chula Vista,fa

5 • State of California,that the public interest and convenience
6 requires the following publiowork to be done in said city,and `$e
therefore the Board of Trustees of said City hereby declares its '

8 intention to order the following described public work in said
9 Cityitowit :
,,, the closing up and vacating of that portion of 4th.Street in

described as follows,4th. Street from the east line of 3rd.Avenu

to a line bearing south:,5, 32 east from a point on the north
13
14 line of said 4th.Street 377.32 feet easterly from the east line

15 of 5th.Avenue ,except the northerly .40 fe .,Af that portion of
16 4th.Street included within the intersection of said 4th.Street
17 I with 4th.Avenue and except the northerly 40 feet of that portion
18 . of 4th.Street included within the intersection of said 4th.
19 Street and 5th.Avenue. The same to be'done under and pursgtant
20 to Chapter LXXVI of the Laws of I889 as amended.
21 That the land deemed necessary to be taken for so closing said
part of said 4th.Street is the whole of said part of said 4th,

street as above described,and the exterior boundaries of the
23
district of lands to be affected or benefited by the closing up
24
and vacating of said portion of said 4th.Street ,are the exter-
25
for boundaries of the corporate limits of the said City of Chula

27 Vista, •That no lands are to be assessed to pay the damages,costs and
28
expenses thereof and that no assessment for said work is neces-

That the Chula Vista Star,a weekly newspaper published and cir--

32 ou].ated and of general circulation in said City of Chula Vista,
33 ( be atd it is hereby designated as the newspaper in which the

1 1 Street Superintendent of said City shall publish the notice here-
2 I fleeter mentioned and in which all notices required to be published
3 1 in this proceeding shall be published.
4 + That after the passage of this Resolution,the Street Superinteni-
5 dent of said City is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously
6 posted along the line of said comtemplated work and improvement;at
7 not •more than 300 feet in distance apart,but not less than 3 in al
8 notices of the passage of this Resolution. Each of said notices
9 shall be headed,"Notice of Public Work" ,in letters not less than
10 one inch in length,and stall in legible letters state the fact of
11 the passage of this Resolution,its date,and briefly the work and •
12 improvement proposed and shall refer to this Resolution for further
13 particulars,and to cause a notice similar in substance to be pubs-
14 lished by four successive insertions in the Chula Vista Star,a week
15 ly newspaper published and circulated in said City,and of general
16 circulation,there being no daily newspaper published and circula-
14 tad in said City;cnd said Chula Vista Star is hereby designated as
18 Ila newspaper in which said publication shall be made;and to file in
19 the office of the City Clerk of said City any and all necessary
20 affidavits showing the posting and publishing of said notices .
.21 That in case there are objections made to said proposed work in
22 the way and .manner provided by law,the said City Clerk shall notify
23 the persons making such objections in the Way and manner provided
24 ' by law.
