HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1916-10-F RESOLUTION #10-F Original Resolution Missing Excerpt from minutes of Board of Trustees Meeting of November 30, 1910 4 The following Resolution was introduced and read: "Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of Chula Vista deem it adviseable for the best interests of the City to take the necessary lawful measures for obtaining the following described property for civic purposes including a library site, to-wit: The Easterly one and nine-tenths acres of Lot 19, Quarter Section 137, Rancho de la Nacion, in the City of Chula Vista, California; and Whereas the Trustees consider the said location the most favorable for such purpose; and Whereas, said property belongs to the Chula Vista School District, of which said District the City of Chula Vista forms a large portion; and that if such lands are obtained therefor, any purchase price paid by said City is largely saved to said City by reason of such expenditure going to said School District so composed; Therefore, be it Resolved that the City of Chula Vista hereby offers to said School District the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars for the above described land to be used for civic purposes including a library site for said City, upon condition that a good, sufficient and clear title thereto in the City of Chula Vista, guaranteed by the Union Title Company of San Diego be furnished by said School District to the City of Chula Vista for such purpose. " Upon motion duly seconded the Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Barnes, Monroe, Geyer. Noes: Eitzen. Absent: Wharton.
