HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1913-2-B RESOLUTION #2-B Original Resolution Missing Excerpt from minutes of Board of Trustees Meeting of July, 23, 1913. The Trustees proceeded to canvass the said election returns, and upon the canvass of said returns the Board of Trustees find and determine that there were cast at said election the total of 355 votes ; that of said votes 269 votes were cast in favor of the proposition, "Shall the City of Chula Vista incur a bonded debt of $40, 000.00 for the purpose of constructing and completing by said City of Chula Vista, the following Municipal Improvement, to-wit: That the streets and highways of said City of Chula Vista, be graded, repaired and improved?", and that 86 votes were cast against the proposition, "Shall the City of Chula Vista incur a bonded debt of $40,000.00 for the purpose of constructing and completing by said City of Chula Vista, the following Municipal Improvement, to-wit: That the streets and highways of said City of Chula Vista, be graded, repaired and improved?" ; and thereupon said Board found and determined that more than two-thirds of all the votes of all voters voting at such special election were cast in favor of such proposition; and on motion, duly seconded, it was resolved that said proposition was duly accepted and adopted by the votes of more than two thirds of all the voters voting at such special election, and that said proposition was carried, and was duly accepted, adopted and ratified by the qualified voters of said city of Chula Vista, and that said City of Chula Vista is duly authorized to issue bonds in the sum of $40,000.00 for the purpose of constructing and completing by said city of Chula Vista, the following Municipal Improvement, to-wit: that the streets and highways of said City of Chula Vista, be graded, repaired and improved. And said Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to-wit: Ayes: Austin Rogers , Smith Noes: None. Absent: Barnes, Boltz.
