RESOLUTION NO.702 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO-A PORTION OF LOT THIRTEEN (13) QUARTERSEC TI ON 150, in the CITY OF CHIULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA. 'WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 3720 of t he Revenue • and Taxation Code, notice was givenm and the property subsequently described, was duly sold by Sam A.Claggett, County Tax Collector for San Diego County, California, under Tax Sale No.1738, to Viola A.Uland, a married woman, and, 'AREAS, the City of Chula Vista received its proportionate share of delinquent taxes. All that real property situated in City thf Chula Vista, County of San Diego, State of California, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of said lot 13, distant thereon 695 feet Westerly from the Southeasterly corner of said lot , said point being the Southeasterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to Gwendolen Frank and Harold T.Frank by Deed dated Tune 6, 1924, and recorded in Book 982, page 227 of Deeds; thence Northerly along a line parallel with said Easterly line of said Lot, 158 feet to the Northeasterly corner of said land conveyed to Frank, being the true point of beginning; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said land, being parallel with the Southerly line of said. Lot, 25 feet to the Southeasterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to Joseph D.Woodend and wife by deed dated February 3, 1926 , and recorded in Book 1190, page 96 of Deeds; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said lend so conveyed, being parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot, 45 feet to the Northeasterly corner of said land; thence Westerly along the Northerly line thereof, being parallel with the Southerly line of said lot , 150 feet to the Easterly line of Monte Vista Avenue as established by deeds to the City of Chula Vista recorded in Book 321, page 59 and Book 316, page 135 respectively of Official Records; thence Northerly along said Easterly line of Monte Vista Avenue 15 feet more or less, to the Southwesterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to Western Loan and Building Company by deed dated November 29, 1926 and recorded in Book 1257, page 438 of Deeds; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said Lena , being parallel with the Northerly line of Lot 13, a distance of 175 feet to the Southeasterly corner of said lead; thence Southerly along a line parallel with the S ; Easterly line of said Lot , 60 feet more or less to the true point of beginning. 1 use of parking spaces and parking meters described herein, and involved in che eking up and regulating the parking of vehicles in the parking meter zones created hereby, including the purchase, replacement, repair and servicing of said parking meters, together with the cost Of street and sidewalk painting of parking areas, and the erection of appropriate street and curb signs as provided for herein. SECTION 15: Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, or any resolution adopted pursuant to this ordinance , shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed Fifty ($50.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than five (5) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; provided that as to violations of the provisions of Section 9 hereof, the owner or operator of a vehicle to whom a citation has been issued may, within twenty-four (24) hours after the time of the issuance of said citation, deposit bail in the amount of One 41:00) Dollar, with the Chief of Police or City Judge, and upon the forfeiture thereof the penalty for such violation shall be deemed fully satisfied. SECTION 16: If any section, subsection, sentence, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each section, sub-section, sentence, clause and phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, sub-sections, sentences, 'clauses or phrases be declared unconstitutional. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after . its final passage and the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be published once within fifteen (15) days after its passage, in the Chula Vista Star, a weekly newspaper printed, published and of general circulation, within the City of Chula Vista. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, California, the reading in Hill of the Ordinance having been waived and dispensed with upon motion carried by unanimous vote after the reading of the title thereof, at the time of its introduction on the fifteenth of May, 1944, by the following vote, to-wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN Howe.Burnside,Rie eland,Keithley NOES: COUNCIIT M Kidder ABSENT: COUNCIIIM T - None- APPROVED: RALPH KEITHLEY Mayor of the City of Chula Vista, California.
