BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS, TO WITS WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista, on the 12th day of January, 1942, adopted Ordinance No. 304, 'Creating the office of Director of Defense and authorizing and instructing him to form a Council of Defense; and WHEREAS, no funds have been set aside for the per- formance of the duties vested in said Director of Defense and said Council of Defense; and '!WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the general fund of this City from business license tax receipts; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY OF CHULA VISTA THAT: The,sum of $ 650.0© be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of the general fund of the City, of Chula - Vista for civilian defense purposes. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, the 13th day of July, 1942, by the following vote, "to wit: AYES: Councilmen Burnside, Howe, Timmons, Dupree NOES: Councilmen Nom ABSENT: Councilmen Perkins APPROVED: Mayor ATTEST: i Alied.c„Ariellge71 City lerk •
