HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-15612 RESOLUTION NO. 15612 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE 1990-91 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT BUDGET, AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS AND APPROVING A REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF COUNTY CDBG FUNDS TO THE ORANGE AND FOURTH (HERMOSA) PARK PROJECT AND WOODLAWN COMMUNITY CENTER YARD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista anticipates receiving a 1990-91 Community Development Block Grant entitlement of $1,161,000; and, WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista wishes to reallocate $233,344 of prior year City and Urban County CDBG funds to new projects; and, WHEREAS, two public hearings on housing and community development needs have been held in accordance with federal regulations and various citizens commissions have provided recommendations; and WHEREAS, the City has prepared the 1990-91 Community Development Block Grant budget and associated documents; and, WHEREAS, previous City and Urban County CDBG funds are available for reallocation to CDBG projects in the Montgomery area, a description of these funds being attached hereto and incorporated herein (Attachment A). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista approves the 1990-91 Community Development Block Grant budget, application and associated documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Community Development Director is authorized to transmit said budget, application and associated documents to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves a request that the County Board of Supervisors transfer the aforementioned Urban County CDBG funds to CDBG eligible projects in the Montgomery area and authorize the City Manager to execute all documents necessary to carry out this transfer.
