RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA APPROPRIATING $98,236 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING REMODEL
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, on September 5, 1989, Council awarded a contract to Soltek of
San Diego for new construction and remodeling of the existing Police
Department Facility at 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, and
WHEREAS, to date, seven minor change orders have been approved, and
WHEREAS, the request for Change Order #8 will exceed the $108,222
contingency fund for this project, and
WHEREAS, there is currently $40,054 remaining in this contingency fund
and Change Order ~8 creates a deficit of $98,236 which is being requested to
amend the contract with Soltek.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Chula Vista does hereby appropriate $98,236 from the unappropriated balance of
the General Fund to the construction contract for the Public Safety Building
remodel.
