firing this fiscal year, the annual cost to operate the fire dispatch portion of our Communi-
tions Center is $113,737. The actual cost for each agency is based on the percentage of
tal calls that are dispatched for that agency applied to the annual cost as follows:
Percentage Annual Cost Proposed
of Calls for Fire Annual
Dispatched Dispatching Fee
Chula Vista 41 .1% $113,737 N/A
National City 26.3% $113,737 $29,913
Montgomery 12.3% $113,737 $13,990
Imperial Beach 15.6% $113,737 $17,743
Bonita 4.7% $113,737 $ 5,346(a)
aff is also requesting an amendment to the Montgomery agreement that would allow us to
spatch a Battalion Commander to all structure fires or other urgent calls in the
ntgomery District effective January 1 , 1985. They are willing to pay the City of Chula
sta $40 for each call and we estimate there will be 25 calls in the six-month period for
total of $1 ,000. This would result in an annual payment to Chula Vista of $14,990.
The $5,346 charge to the Bonita/Sunnyside Fire District is not applicable for billing
:ause we have a five-year agreement with them that includes the provision of cost-free
^e dispatching.
