RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council approve the installation of five one-hour parking meters on the north side of F Street Between Landis and Third Avenue and appropriate $650 to Account No. 230-2300-5298 to cover the cost. BOARDS/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Parking Place Commission by a 5-0 vote at their meeting of June 12, 1984 recom- mended that the City Council approve the installation of these five meters. DISCUSSION: 4hen F Street between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue was resurfaced in conjunction with the Town Centre redevelopment, all parking was removed on the south side of the street. This allowed the street to be restriped to add a two-way left-turn pocket to serve all the driveways on F Street as well as straighten out the striping. The iew striping now allows adequate curb lane width on the north side of F Street between _andis and Third Avenue to permit the addition of five parking meters. the estimated revenue from these meters per week is $20. Therefore, the $650 cost For installation should be recovered in approximately eight months. =ISCAL IMPACT: Ippropriate $650 from the unappropriated balance of the Parking Meter Fund to account No. 230-2300-5298 to pay for sandblasting, clean 217 feet of red curb Ind City labor and materials for the installation. by the City Council of Chula Vista, California Dated 40 7 orm A-113 (Rev. 11/79) Form No. F-229 ... 12/73 CERTIFICATE OF CITY/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE Certification of Unappropriated Balance I HEREBY CERTIFY that the money required for the appropriation of funds for the purpose set forth in the attached resolution is available in the Treasury, or is anticipated to come into the Treasury, and is otherwise unappropriated.
