apply for these funds is required.

he City of Chula Vista is eligible to apply for an Urban Open Space Grant in the amount
)f $4,756 in fiscal , 1984. It is proposed that an application for these Grant funds be
lade. These funds will augment funds proposed in the 1984-85 Capital improvement Pro-
)ram to rehabilitate six park restrooms throughout the City.
toberti-Z'Berg Funds are designated for use in a park renovation or improvement project.
1pplication for these funds must be to Sacramento before May 25, 1984 o allow adequate
:ime to process an agreement.
=ISCAL IMPACT
tesidential Construction Tax Funds are proposed in the 1984-85 CIP Program to fund this
)roject. State Block Funds of $4,756 will reduce RCT Funds by a comparable amount re-
luired for this project.

Description of Project(Brief)
This project involves the application of an anti-graffiti paint designed to allow easy
clean-up of graffiti wall surfaces. Park restrooms selected have demonstrated a history
of high vandalism. Purpose of project is to get an upper hand on park restroom vandalism
and have better looking structures for citizens of the community.

the Notice of Exemption if the project is categorically exempt.

5. Acquisition map and acquisition schedule listing number of parcels, size and approximate date of acquisition and cost
(acquisition projects).
6. Site plan and applicable development,operation and maintenance or innovative cost estimate(development projects).
7. Need Basis Grants for capital outlay,0&M or innovative programs must contain complete project justification following all the
criteria for the applicable project grant request.
Assurances
The applicant hereby gives assurance and certifies with respect to the grant that:
It possesses legal authority to apply for the grant,and to finance,acquire,and construct the proposed project;that a resolution,
motion or similar action has been duly adopted or passed as an official act of the applicant's governing body,authorizing the filing of
the application, including all understandings and assurances contained therein,and directing and authorizing the person identified as
the official representative of the applicant to act in connection with the application and to provide such additional information as
may be required.
It will provide and maintain competent and adequate architectural engineering supervision and inspection at the construction site to
insure that the completed work conforms with the approved plans and specifications; that it will furnish progress reports and such
other information as the State may require.
It will give the State's authorized representative access to and the right to examine all records,books,papers,or documents related to
the grant.
It will cause work on the project to be commenced within a reasonable time after receipt of notification from the State that funds
have been approved and that the project will be prosecuted to completion with reasonable diligence.
