A.C. Company, Inc. was awarded the contract for the overlay of Claire Avenue
between Shasta Street and "I" Street by Council Resolution 11465 on November
22, 1983. The contract date is December 16, 1983. This work is now completed.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve resolution accepting contract work for
the overlay of Claire Avenue from Shasta Street to "I" Street and storm drain
improvements.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
A.C. Company, Inc. completed the overlay of Shasta Street and storm drain
improvements on February 17, 1984. Minor corrective work has been performed
and final contract quantities determined. A final inspection was made on
February 29. All work was found to have been performed in accordance with the
contract plans and specifications and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer.

Original Contract Amount $32,032.36
Contingencies 2,167.64
Final Contract Cost 31 ,366.42
Balance of Authorized Expenditures $ 2,833.58
Engineering Staff Time as of 2/16/84 $ 4,381.51
x Full Cost Recovery Factor of 1 .73 = 7,580.01
This project was funded through Gas Tax Funds, Account 250-2501-GT159.
FISCAL IMPACT: The City will maintain the public improvements.
