Meeting Date 2/14/84
ITEM TITLE: Resolution /,45 L2Accepting public improvements for Villas
de Bonita Subdivision
SUBMITTED BY: City Engineer f/ (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X )
REVIEWED BY: City Manager j6".
The ADMA Company, Inc. has completed the construction of public improvements
for Villas de Bonita Subdivision. The improvement agreement was approved by
Council Resolution 10635 on September 22, 1981.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt resolution accepting the public
improvements.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
In accordance with a request from ADMA Company, Inc., a final inspection was
made of the improvements for Villas de Bonita Subdivision on July 15, 1983. A
letter of deficiencies was prepared on July 21 , 1983. The letter outlined
deficiencies to be corrected along the private roadways within the subdivision
property as well as the public improvements in dedicated easements and along
Bonita Road and Otay Lakes Road. The ADMA Company has now requested that the
City accept the public improvements along Bonita Road and Otay Lakes Road and
within the publicly dedicated easements. The required work was completed on
February 2, 1984, and all work has been found to be performed in accordance
with the improvement agreement and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer.
The acceptance of the public improvements does not include the improvements
along the private roadways or within the privately owned properties within the
subdivision proper. Because of current building construction, acceptance of
the public improvements does not relieve the ADMA Company, Inc. of the
responsibility for completion of the monumentation within the subdivision or
the preservation of monuments in replacement of those that may be destroyed
during the building construction. The construction of private improvements
are inspected as to their conformance to the approved development plan and are
signed off by staff at the time the applicable permit is finaled.
FISCAL IMPACT: The City of Chula Vista will accept maintenance of the
public improvements.
