Construction Company for the Town Centre Parking
Structure to February 22, 1984

Due to a large number of change orders, the time for completion of the
Town Centre Parking Structure would be extended until February 22 , 1984 .
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution granting an extension of the
contract time to C. E . Wylie Construction Company to
February 22, 1984

DISCUSSION:
Throughout the contract for the construction of the Town Centre Parking
Structure, there have been a number of change orders which have resulted
in unanticipated work on the project. The City's specifications made
reference to the "green book" which allows for a reasonable extension
of time where change orders are involved. The Director of Building and
Housing has reviewed the change orders and believes it is reasonable
to grant another 27 days to the contractor based on the change orders .
This would extend the contract to February 22 , 1984 . It appears all
the work will be completed by this time.
