RESOLUTION OF.-THE CITY COUNCIL- OF THE
,CI1T Y OF CHULA VISTA, (ALIFORNIA, DE-
CLARtIN.G' /TS INTENTION TO .ORDER THE CON-
,
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN SANITARY SEWERS AND
APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN
THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA;
DECLARING THE" W ORK TO BE OF MORE THAN
LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DESCRIB-
ING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED 'BY 'SAID
WORK AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE- COST
AND EXPENSE THEREOF; DETERMINING THAT
BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT ASSESS-
MENTS TO BE LEVIED; AND FIXING THE TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS '
TO SAID WORK OR THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE
ASSESSED, OR BOTH, AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Chula -Vista, Cali-
fornia, DOES' HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows :
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience ' ,
require and that it is the intention of the City Council of
said City of Chula Vista to order -the following work to be
done or improvement to be made in the City' of Chula Vista,
to wit :
The construction of certain sanitary sewers and appurtenances
and appurtenant work in:

Section 2,." That all the aforesaid work or improve
ment shall be constructed at the grades, along the lines, ,
between the: points) of the dimensions, 'at the places and in .
the manner' shown on the plans (which include 'profiles and
detailed drawings) for the said 'work, designated "Plan No.
1-1949," consisting of drawings numbered 1- to 56•, both
inclusive, and in accordance with said plans and with the
specifications for said Work, which are designated "Specific
cations No . 1-1949." 'Said plans and specifications have
heretofore been approved by this City Council of the City of
Chula Vista and are on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Chula Vista' in the City Hall in said City of
Chula Vista, and reference is hereby made to said plans and
specifications for the full and detailed description bf said
proposed work ,and for a description of the grades at which
said work is to be done.
Section 3. That in the opinion of this City
Council the said contemplated work is of more than local
or' ordinary public benefit and this City Council hereby
makes the expense of said work chargeable 'upon a district,
which district this City Council hereby ,declares to be the
district benefited by the said work and to be assessed to
pay the cost and expense thereof. For a description of said ,
district reference is hereby made to a. plat or map of said
district heretofore approved by this City Council on file
in the office of the said City Clerk and designated "Map of
Assessment District No. 1-1949, " which map or plat indicates
by a •boundary line ithe extent of the territory included in
the said proposed district and shall govern for all details
as to the extent ,of said assessment district. '

Section 4. That serial bonds bearing interest at
the rate of six per cent (6%) per' annum shall be issued to
represent each assessment of twenty-five dollars ( 25) or
over remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date
of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend over a period
ending nine (9) years from the second day of:January next
succeeding the next October 15th following their date. Said
bonds are to be issued pursuant to and as provided in the
"Improvement Act of '1911", Division 7 of th,e ' Streets and
Highways COde of the State of California.
Section 5. That the said proposed work is to be

done under arid. proceedings therefor are to be under and
pursuant to the said "Improvement Act of 1911."
Section 6. That notice is hereby 'given that the
12th day of July, 1949, at the hour of 7:00 o 'clock P.M. ,
. is the "day and hour when, 'and the Council"Chambers of this -
City Council in the City Hall ih said City-of Chula Vista
is the place `whereeany, and .all persons having any protest ,
or objection to said proposed work or to the extent of said
assessment district, or to the .proposed grades, may appear
before the City,Council of said' City of Chula Vista and show
cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in '
accordance with this resolution of intention. Protests or
objections must be in writing and must be, delivered to the
said City Clerk of said City of Chula Vista not later than,
the hour herein set for hearing protests or objections .
Section 7. The Chula Vista Star, a newspaper o•f
general circulation, published and circulated in the- said ,
City of Chula Vista, is hereby selected as the newspaper in
which this resolution shall be published and except when

otherwise ordered by this City Council, in which all other
publication; in the proceedings pursuant , to this resolution
of intention shall be made. The said City Clerk is hereby
directed to certify to the adoption of this resolution and to
cause said resolution to be published in the manner provided
by law.
Section 8, The said City Clerk is hereby directed
to mail notices of the adoption of this resolution as provided
in said "Improvement Act , of 1911", postage prepaid, to all
persons owning real property which is 'proposed to be assessed
to pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment role or as
known to the said City Clerk.
Section 9. The Street Superintendent of the said
City of Chula Vista is hereby directed to cause td be con-
spicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and
on all open streets within the said assessment district
notices of the passage of this resolution of intention in the
time, form and, manner provided by law.
