Home My WebLink AboutReso 1990-15537 RESOLUTION NO. 15537 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ADOPTING THE FIVE-YEAR TRANSNET LOCAL STREET AND ROAD PROGRAM, FISCAL YEARS 1991 THROUGH 1995; AND APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF CHULA VISTA'S TRANSNET 1990 REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (RTIP) UPDATE TO THE SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the 1990 San Diego Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) is a five-year program of proposed major highway, arterial, transit, bikeway, and aviation projects, and WHEREAS, the annual development and approval of the RTIP by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is a requirement for the continued receipt of state and federal transportation project funding, and WHEREAS, the "Proposition A (TransNet): San Diego Transportation Improvement Program - Ordinance and Expenditure Plan" also requires that all proposed projects to be funded with TransNet sales tax be included in the RTIP and the listing of TransNet projects is to be submitted to and approved by SANDAG as part of the RTIP. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby adopt the five-year TransNet Local Street and Road Program, fiscal years 1991 through 1995. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby approve the submittal of Chula Vista's TransNet 1990 Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) Update to the San Diego Association of Governments.
