RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING NOTICE .
FOR FURTHER BIDS ON SALE OF THE CITY
HALL
THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, DOES HEREBY
' RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the form and content of that certain notice, entitled
YtNotice for further bias' on le ,of real- property by the City
of Chula Vista'' , a copy of which is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated' in this resolution, be, and the same is,
hereby approved and the Administrative' Offica of the City of
Chula Vista is directed to publish the same in the Chula Vista
Star on the 22nd and 29th days of June, `1950.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day Of June, 1950.

NOTICE FOR FURTHER' BIDS ON SALE
OF REAL PROPERTY BY THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA
NOTICE IS HEREB ' GIVEN, that the• City of Chula Vista,
acting by and through the City Council of the City of Chula
Vista, will sell to the higbamtzand best bidder, at the Council
Chambers, City Hall,Chula Vista, California, at 7:00 o' clock
P.M. , on July 11th, 1950, upon the terms and conditions here-
in mentioned, that certain piece or parcel of real property '
and the improvements thereon, commonly known as the City Hall,
294 Third Avenue, Chula Vista,' California, and more particularly
described as follows:
Lot 14 of Block E of Mohnikes Subdivision
in the City of Chula Vista, County of San
. Diego, State of California, according to
the Map thereof No. 1284, filed in the
office of the ColintTRecorder of San Diego
County on September 12,° 1910.
Sealed Bids or offers in °writing are invited for said real
property, and will be received at the Office of the Administrative
Officer., of the City of Chula Vista, City Hall, Chula Vista,
California, at any time before 7:00 o'clock p.:j. , on July 11th,
1950. . After the opening of such sealed bids, oral or written
bids or offers shall be received by the City Council at said
time and place. .
A written bid or offer in the sum of FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND
DOLLARS (845,000.00) net to the said City having heretofore been
received by said City, no bids or offers less than the sum of
FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($47,500.00) net to
the said City shall be considered at said time and place. In
the event no such further bid or offer is received the said
, existing bid or offer shall at said time. and place be accepted
by the City.' The minimum terms and conditions of the sale are

SEVEN THOUSAND,. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS 47,500.00) , or more,
cash, payable by check or otherwise upon acceptance of a bid,
or offer, and the balance payable according to the terms of
the bid or offer accepted, in lawful money of the United States,
such balance to be evidenced by a promissory note, bearing
interest at not less than five (5%) per cent per year, and
shall be secured by a first deed of trust to said premises.
The City shall retain the right to exclusive possession and
occupancy of said premises until December 1, 1950, at a rental
to be paid by said City according to the terms of the bid or
offer, not exceeding $150.00 per month, or so in proportion '
for a fraction of .a month, commencing July 15th, 1950, and
ending on the day the City vacates and delivers possession of
the premises. Seller will furnish title insurance and pay the
usual title expenses; fire insurance to be prorated as of date
of sale. The City shall not be liable in damages for failure
to furnish a marketable title, but in the event the City is not
able to furnish a marketable title within 90 days, buyer may
rescind the sale.
The City of Chula Vista reserves the right to reject or
accept any and all bids or offers or waive any informality in a
bid and to withdraw this offer at any time before the acceptance
of a bid. The City shall be the sole judge of which of several
bids is the best bid, and the determination by the
City Council of said City of this fact shall be final. No bidder
may withdraw his bid for a period of fifteen (15) days after
July 11th, 1950.
