HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-15454RESOLUTION NO. 15454 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING PCM-90-04 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE WESTERLY SEGMENT OF RIDGEBACK ROAD TO TERRA NOVA DRIVE The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Ridgeback Road was originally planned as a continuous street extending from East "H" Street through to Otay Lakes Road, and WHEREAS, the approval of the Rancho del Rey plan and the Rancho del Rey loop road has now created two segments of Ridgeback Road -- one extending northerly from East "H" Street in the vicinity of Terra Nova Plaza, and the other extending westerly from Otay Lakes Road in the vicinity of Bonita Vista Junior High School, and WHEREAS, this broken, segmented road could create confusion as well as the potential for delays in providing emergency services in the future, and WHEREAS, the present proposal is to change the name of the westerly segment of Ridgeback Road because there are no properties currently addressed off this segment of the street, and WHEREAS, on November 29, 1989, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of the proposal in accordance with Resolution PCM-90-04. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council Chula Vista does hereby approve PCM-90-04 changing the name segment of Ridgeback Road to Terra Nova Drive. of the City of of the westerly Presented by Robert A.
