Now that the Chula Vista employees' salaries have been established for fiscal year 85/86,
resolutions can be adopted to reflect the revised annual fees for those agencies that are
receiving fire dispatch services.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the resolutions.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
During this fiscal year, the annual cost to operate the fire dispatch portion of our Corrmuni-
Dations Center is $120,543. The actual cost for each agency is based on the percentage of
total calls that are dispatched for that agency applied to the annual cost as follows:

(a)Montgomery pays Chula Vista $2,000 annually for the dispatching of the on-duty Battalion
Chief to all structure fires and other urgent calls. This results in a total annual
payment of $16,465. Effective January 1, 1986, the Montgomery Fire District will dissolve
and therefore the actual payment to Chula Vista will amount to $8,232.50 - half of the
annual fee.
'b)Tbe $4,822 charge to the Bonita/Sunnyside Fire District is not applicable for billing
