HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1985/11/05 Item 11 COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item 11 Meeting Date 11/5/85 ITEM TITLE: Resolution Amending Resolution No. 10548 establishing Greens Fees Schedule for Chula Vista Golf Course SUBMITTED BY: Director Parks and Recreation REVIEWED BY: City Manager (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) At the October 22, 1985, meeting, Council reviewed and approved a report on American Golf Corporation' s request to adjust greens fee at the Chula Vista Golf Course according to the lease agreement with the City of Chula Vista. The effective date of the increase would be November 1 , 1985. RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the amended resolution. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: The Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the requested rate adjustment at their regular meeting on October 17, 1985 and unanimously recommended approval of the fee adjustment as proposed by American Golf Corporation. DISCUSSION: At the October 25 meeting, Council reviewed and approved a report on American Golf Corporation's request to adjust greens fees and monthly tickets. The new rates were to be effective on November 1 , 1985. To clarify an omission in the initial report regarding the monthly Resident Senior Citizen rates, there will be an increase from $25.00 per month to $35.00 per month. In the report to Council , the Senior Resident current rate was listed as $35.00. The new standard greens fee are: Standard A. Weekend/Holiday 18 hole $ 9.00 9 hole 5.00 * Twilight 5.00 * Effective after 4 p.m. daily and adjusted seasonally. FISCAL IMPACT: The lease agreement with American Golf Corporation requires them to pay the City a minimum annual guarantee or a percentage of the annual gross receipts derived from the operation of the golf course and driving range during the term, whichever amount is greater. Therefore, the increase in green fees will generate additional revenue for the City. WPC 0452R
