Daley Corporation has completed the pavement overlay and reconstruction of
Third Avenue between "K" Streets. on Augustr6,tj98dated August 21 ,
1985, was awarded by Council
That City Council adopt resolution accepting the contract
work.
DISCUSSION:
A final inspection was made on October 7, 1985, of the pavement overlay by
Daley Corporation and all work was found to be in accordance with the contract
plans and specifications. The work has been completed to the satisfaction of
the City Engineer.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$81 ,300.00
Authorized Expenditure $73,810,00
Original Contract Amount 78,565.65

The final construction cost was $78,565.65

amount, or 6.3%. The overage
pavement tonnage used to accomplish the work as proposed in the contract
specifications. Payment is based upon unit price per ton rather than lump sum.
Staff time as of September 29, 1985, is $2,674.10. Full cost recovery time at
1.76 equals $4,706.42.
FISCAL IMPACT: City will maintain street improvements.
