Easements for street purposes on East "H" Street east of Otay Lakes Road b. Easements for slope rights on East "H" Street between Auburn Avenue and Rutgers Avenue SUBMITTED BY: Director of Public Works/City Engineer 0111 / REVIEWED BY: City Manager '? (4/5ths Vote: Yes No x ) On April 16, 1985, by Resolution No. 11993, the City Council approved the Final Map for Chula Vista Tract No. 81-4, Bonita Long Canyon Estates - Unit 1 Subdivision, located at the northwest quadrant of East "H" Street and Corral Canyon Road. RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt the resolution accepting the easements for street purposes and slope rights as listed therein. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: Chula Vista Tract 81-4 consists of 199 residential lots on 81 .5 acres of land. East "H" Street is considered a major access to said subdivision and is now being built. The northerly half of East "H" Street, 725 feet east of Otay Lakes Road was dedicated to the City in conjunction with Bonita Long Canyon Estates Unit 1 Subdivision per Resolution 11995, and recorded with the County of San Diego on July 7, 1985, per document #85-273240. The southerly half of said street and the parcel at the northeast corner of East "H" and Otay Lakes Road are required in conjunction with the development of EastLake I Subdivision, and are presented to Council for acceptance in order to provide a full public right-of-way for East "H" Street between Otay Lakes Road and Rutgers Avenue. Kelton Title Corporation and the Chula Vista City School District are also granting to the City slope right easements on the south side of East "H" Street between Auburn Avenue and Rutgers Avenue as a result of an agreement between them and EastLake Development Company. Following the acceptance of the above mentioned easements all of the right-of-way dedication needed for the segment of East "H" Street from Otay Lakes Road to the easterly line of the Bonita Long Canyon Subdivision will have been accomplished. Page 2, Item 12 Meeting Date 10/15/85 The documents for each of the parcels being accepted have been submitted to the City and are properly executed. These easements are: Parcel a: Easement for street purposes at the northeast corner of East "H" Street and Otay Lakes Road Parcel b: Easement for street purposes at the southeast corner of East "H" Street and Otay Lakes Road Parcel c: Easement for street purposes on the south side of East "H" Street from Otay Lakes Road to a point 725 feet easterly thereof. Parcel d: Easement for slope rights at the southwest corner of East "H" Street and Rutgers Avenue Parcel e: Easement for slope rights at the south side of East "H" Street between Auburn Avenue and Rutgers Avenue A plat is available for Council viewing.
