HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-15939 RESOLUTION NO. 15939 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA INCREASING THE MAYOR'S EXPENSE ALLOWANCE FROM $300 TO $400 PER MONTH The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, Section 304{c) of the City Charter sets the Mayoral expense account at $50 per month; and WHEREAS, the City Council may also provide, by resolution, for the payment to the Mayor of an allowance of a sum certain per month, as reimbursement for the additional demands and expenses made upon and incurred by the Mayor; and WHEREAS, the City Council, on May 22, 1979, increased this amount to $300 by the adoption of Resolution No. 9610; and WHEREAS, in recognition of the increased costs of the office of Mayor, it is proposed to increase the Mayoral Expense Allowance to $400 per month. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby increase the Mayor's Expense Allowance from $300 to $400 per month effective November 6, 1990.
