RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF (HULA VISTA GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, BEING A POR--
TION OF THAT TERRITORY NOW KNOWN AND DESIG-
NATED AS "SWEETWATER DELTA" IN THE CITY OF
NATIONAL-CITY, COUNTY- OF SAN DIEGO, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, TO BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS
"SWEETWATER DELTA"
Whereas the City Council of the City of National City
has heretofore received the written consent of at least two-
thirds of all of the- freeholders, holding in value at least
two-thirds of the real property, within certain uninhabited
territory, particularly described in said petition and here-
inafter described, located in the City of National City,
County of San Diego, State of California, and said City Coun-
cil of the City of National City by Resolution No. 5742,
adopted August 5, 1952, consented to the detachment of said
territory from the corporate limits of the City of National
-City; and
Whereas the City Council of the City of Chula Vista is
desirous of initiating proceedings on its own motion to annex
said territory to the City of Chula Vista;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF —
THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, as follows:
That pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to,
incorporation and inclusion in The City of Chula Vista of cer-
tain uninhabited territory in the City of National City, County
of San Diego, State of California, contiguous to the City of
Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed -to
be annexed to the City of Chula Vista are more specifically
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the straight line

Tide Line as established by a recorded docu-
ment "Agreement Arbitrating Ordinary High Water
Mark" (State Lands Commission File No. N-6124)
covering certain lands in National City, Chula
Vista, •and County territory between the two
cities, arid as delineated by Miscellaneous Map
No. 185,- records of San Diego County, said
point being South9 degrees 46' West a distance
of-266.W5 -feet from Station 58 on said Mean High
Tide Line; thence continuing along said straight
line, South 9 degrees 46' West, 204.87 feet, to
Station 59; thence South -27 degrees 44' West
305.04 feet to Station 60; thence South 7 degrees
59' West, 201.96 feet to Station 61; thence -
South 34 degrees 36' West, 419.13 feet to Station
62 ; thence South 78 degrees 29' West, 225.52 feet
to Station 63 ; thence North 81 .degree.s 24-'
West, 802.02 feet to Station 64; thence South
61 degrees 10' West, 200.91 feet to Station
65; thence South 10 degrees 35' West, 277.73
feet to Station 66; thence South 55 degrees
24' West, 140.91 feet to Station 67; thence North
65 .degrees 22' West, 132.01 feet to Station 68;
Thence South 81 degrees 22' West 146,66 feet to
Station 69; thence South 01 degrees 25' East
203.06 feet to Station 70; thence South 33
degrees 1$' East, 227.39 feet to Station 71;
thence South 12 -degrees 31' East, 617.04 feet
to an intersection of said.Mean High Tide Line
with the Southerly line of Quarter Section 179,
being also the Northerly line of the City limits
of the City of Chula Vista, said intersection
.being North 12 degrees 31' West 84.64 feet from
`Station 72 of said Mean High Tide Line; thence
Easterly along the Southerly line of Quarter
Sections 179, 174, and 160, said Southerly line
being the present Northerly City Limits of the
City of Chula Vista, to a point formed by the
intersection of said Southerly line of Quarter
Section 160 and the Westerly Right-of-Way Line
of that State Highway shown on right-of-way
Map 1.1-S.D.-;2-G of the Department of Public
Works, Division of Highways, State of Calif-
. ornia, said point being opposite. Sta=tion-122*

2-0, thence North 18 degrees 33' 59" 'West a
distance of 1326.66 feet to a point.of tangency
with a curve being concave Southwesterly having
a radius of 280 feet and •a central angle of 82
degrees 12' 02"; thence along the arc of said
curve a distance of 401.71 feet to a point of
tangency; thence South 71 degrees 46'West,
88.05 feet; thence North 18 degrees l4'. West,'
50.00 feet; thence Westerly along a straight
' line to the point of beginning
The said territory is hereby designated as "SWEETWATER
DELTA."
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Tuesday, the agt. day of
October, 1952, at the hour of Seven o' clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber- in the City Hall, Civic Center, Chula Vista, California,

are hereby set as the time and place for hearing protests
against the proposed annexation of said territory.
At any time before the hour set for hearing objections
to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the
territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest
against the proposed annexation. Such protest shall state
the name of the owner of the property, affected and. the descrip-
tion and area of such property in general terms.
BE IT FUa THER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
declare that proceedings for the said annexation have been
initiated by said City Council for the reason that said terri-
tory is contiguous with tide lands owned by said City of Chula
Vista and for the further reason that said annexation will
provide an opportunity for the future_ industrial expansion of
the said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City
be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolu-
tion to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once
. a week, in the official newspaper of said City, to- wit: The
Chula-Vista Star, a newspaper of general circulation published
in said City, and -also in a newspaper of general circulation .
published outside of the City but in the County in which is
.located. the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication
to be- complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the
hearing.
Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land
within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed in the
last equalized county assessment roll available on the date
these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said
assessment roll, or as known to said clerk, and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of the
lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable,

IF with said Clerk. In the event any land within the territory
proposed to .be annexed is owned by the County. of San Diego
said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such pro-
posed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of
such County.
The notice above referred to shall be given not less than
20 days before the first public hearing on the proposed anneXa-
tion.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF
CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, this .0thday of September ,1952,
