DATED: September 10, 195 City Clerk by Deputy ,5� • AGREEMENT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICE AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE The County of San Diego, hereinafter called the County and the City of Chula Vista hereinafter called the City, agree as follows: 1. The City shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to maintain the lawn, shrubs and other landscaping located on the County's property acquired by deed from the City dated April $, 1952, and recorded in Book 44.67, page 570, Official Records in the Office of the County Recorder. 2. The City shall provide- all labor, materials, janitorial supplies and equipment required to provide complete janitorial service to the building now being constructed by the County on the above described property and intended for use as the courtroom of the South Bay Municipal Court and associated offices. Materials and supplies shall include all paper products required in restrooms, all soaps, waxes and other cleaning materials, but shall not include items required for minor repairs such as the replacement of light bulbs and fuses, and the repair and maintenance of plumbing facilities. In consideration of the foregoing performances by the City the County shall pay to the City the sum of $205.00 per month, payment to be made quarterly on September 30, December 31, March 31 and June 30. 3. The term of this agreement shall commence on the date on which the County occupies the building now being constructed on the above described property and the payment for the first quarter shall be prorated' from the date of occupancy to the end of that quarter, if occupancy occurs prior to September 30, 1952; if occupancy occurs subsequent to that date no payment shall be due for the first quarter of the. fiscal year and the payment for the second quarter shall be similarly prorated. The County's Director of Public Works will notify the City as early as possible of the estimated date of occupancy. '_ J 0.3 • 4. This agreement shall terminate June 30, 1953, but may be renewed by the County for the subsequent fiscal year and for each subsequent fiscal year thereafter provided that the County notifies the City in writing on or before June 1st of the preceding fiscal year of its intention to exercise this option. In addition either party hereto may terminate this agreement at any time by giving to the other party 60 days? written notice of intention to terminate.
