HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1952-1352 , . .� RESOLUTION NO. 1352 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF .CHULA VISTA ESTABLISHING MANNER AND EXTENT OF IMPROVEMENTS OF PUBLIC STREETS AND HIGHWAYS DEDICATED BY SUBDIVIDERS - . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: This resolution is made under' and pursuant to Section 7 of Ordinance No. 377 of the City of Chula Vista, and is intended to establish and _specify the manner and method a subdivider of real property in the City of Chula Vista pur- suant to said Ordinance and the Subdivision Act of the State of California must 'improve public streets and 'h1ghwaysbetween curbs. SECTION 2: The roadway of such streets'and highways shall be surfaced and improved in accord with the following specifi- cations. (a) On National Avenue, Hilltop Drive, and all lettered and numbered streets, the minimum thickness of the paved cross section above subgrade shall be not less than seven and One- _ half inches (71/29) and shall consist of five inches (5?) -of selected base material and two and one-half inches (2 1/2n) of plant mixed bituminous surfacing. (b) On all other streets not specified above, the - minimum thickness of paved cross section shall not be less than six inches (6n) and shall consist of four inches (4") of select- ed base material and two inches (2n) of plant mixed bituminous surfacing. (c) The bituminous binder in the plant mixed 'surfacing shall be steam refined paving asphalt between the limits of eighty-five 05) to three hundred (300) penetration as clatsi- fied by the American Association of State Highway Officials. (d) The selected base material shall conform to the specifications of the City of Chula Vista. _, ago (e.) The City Council may require, upon the recommenda- tions of- the City Engineer, a greater thickness of paved cross section than the Minimums above established. (f) All underground pipes, conduits, culverts, and other underground improvements shall be installed -prior to surfacing of streets. (g) All such improvements and such materials used therein must be in accordance with-the standard specifications of the Gity of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista which specifications are incorporated herein by this reference, copies of which are on file in the office of the City Engineer.
