Bids to provide landscape maintenance n Districts 1 through 11 were let out on April 22 and received on May , RECOMMENDATION: That Council accept bids and award contracts to the following low bidders: Cal/Scape for District Nos. 4, 5, 9, and 11 Helping Hands Landscape Co. for District Nos. 2, 3, 7, and 8 Sensational Creations Landscape Co. for District Nos. 1, 6, and 10 BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: Sealed bids were received by the City Engineer on May 22, 1985 to provide 11 for FY landscape maintenance for Open lists the District received b ds t f om h the various 1985-86. Cal/Scape currently holds a maintenance contract with the City of Chula Vista for District No. 5, and during FY 1983-84 maintained District Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9. They Sensational Creations Landscape Company is the successful low bidder for District Nos. 1, 6, and 10, with a total bid of $19,409. Sensational Creations Landscape Company has performed mainly in the private sector and currently maintains several condominium projects in San Diego. Positive references were received on all three companies. The following chart lists the contract cost for each Open Space District and the recommended contractor.
