Item 7
Meeting Date 6/11/85
ITEM TITLE: Resolution 4201,2_ Appropriating $27,000 for landscaping north side
of Telegraph Canyon Road (Open Space #6)
SUBMITTED BY: Director of Planning(0
REVIEWED BY: City Manager (4/5ths Vote: Yes
RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the attached resolution appropriating the funds.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable.
DISCUSSION:
On May 14, 1985, the City Council approved a report for relandscaping the north side
of Telegraph Canyon Road west of Nacion Avenue. The proposal included the recon-
struction of the irrigation system and reinstallation of the plant materials pre-
viously planted on the project with addition of some tree form. It is also recom-
mended that City forces, labor and equipment, be used for the demolition of the pave-
ment to be removed and the new installation. The materials cost estimate was $27,000.
Because the project has been under study and delayed for some time, we are recommend-
ing a special appropriation rather than wait for next year's Capital Improvment Program.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$27,000 from the General Fund Reserve.
