Since the summer of 1983, the City Council has authorized temporary
professional assistance to speed up the processing of large scale development
projects, namely, the El Rancho del Rey project.
On June 28, 1983, the City Council approved an agreement with Mr. Paul
Manganelli to provide planning evaluation and processing work for the El
Rancho del Rey General Plan Amendment.
The term of the agreement was set for automatic termination on April 1 , 1985
unless extended by mutual agreement of Mr. Manganelli , the Gersten Companies
and the City of Chula Vista.
All parties are in agreement that the contract should be extended to June 30,
1985.
RECOMIENDATION: That Council adopt the attached resolution extending the
term of this contract until June 30, 1985.
BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable
FISCAL IMPACT: There will be no fiscal impact on the City. All cost will
be paid to the City through a deposit account reimbursement by the Gersten
Companies.
