RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution approving lease agreement. DISCUSSION: Assemblyman Peace leases Suite B in the Legislative Office_ Build nng, which cons wtslof approximately 1450 square feet. Under terms of the new lease, monthly continue at the existing rate of $915.04 per month until December 1 , 1985, when it will be necessary to negotiate a monthly rental for the period of December 1 , 1985 through November 30, 1986. Assemblyman Peace requested that the rent remain ati State o monthly rate for has opted the period of December 1 , 1984 through November 30, 1985 because t overall expenditures by some 30%. The per square foot rental that will be received at the $915.04 monthly rate is approximately comparable to the rate paid by Congressmen Bates and Hunter, and Senator Deddeh. FISCAL IMPACT: Gross annual rent for the period December 1 , 184_ No service 1985gwill generate $10,980. Estimated expenses for utilities, janitorial maintenance total approximately $4,640 for Assemblyman Peace's pro-rated share of the Legislative Office Building space, leaving a net income to the City of approximately $6,340. Net income to the City for the second year will be approximately the same dependent upon the new negotiated rent for the second year.
