A new lease agreement has seen executed by Congressman Hunter and is ready for City Council approval . •ECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution approving lease agreement. IISCUSSION: ongressman Hunter leases Suite D in the Legislative Office Building, which consists of '40 square feet. Under the terms of the new lease, the monthly rent will be $175, an increase of $25 per month. The term of the lease is for one year, commencing January 1 , 1985 and ending December 31 , 1985, with the option of extending the agreement for an additional twelve months (January 1 , 1986 thru December 31 , 1986) at a monthly rental of $185. It should be mentioned, however, that Congressman Hunter has indicated he may not be leasing space in Chula Vista after the expiration of the initial one year term inasmuch as his congressional district does not include Chula Vista. FISCAL IMPACT: ross annual rent for the period January 1 , 1985 thru December 31 , 1985 will generate $2,100. Estimated expenses for utilities, janitorial service and' building maintenance is approximately $770 for Congressman Hunter's pro-rated share of the legislative office suilding space, leaving a net income to the City of approximately $1 ,330. i n A of by CniRisx Vista, California Dated Form A-113 (Rev. 11/79)
