HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1953-1487 RESOLUTION NO. 1487 • f ..- e.a V ♦haah RESOLUTION NO. 11187 RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA OF PORTIONS OF QUARTER SECTIONS 114 AND 115 - OF RANCHO DE LA NACION, IN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO STATE OF CALIFORNIA, TO BE KNOWN AS 'COUNTRY CLUB PARK UNIT #1" THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed annexation to, and in- corporation and inclusion in, the City of Chula Vista of certain un- inhabited territory in the County of San Diego contiquous to the City of Chula Vista. The boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Chula Vista are more particularly described as follows : . - All those portions of 1/4 Sections 114 and 115, Rancho de 14 Nacion,-ii the i County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 166 • filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County, described • as follows: • Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said 1/4 Section 114 being also the Northwesterly corner of'said 1/4 Section 115; thence along the Westerly line of said 1/4 Section 114, North 19°09'50" West 1322. 73 feet to the Northwesterly corner of the Southerly half of said 1/4 Section 114; thence along the Northerly line of said Southerly half, North 70°10'30" East 1210. 14 feet; thence South _. 19°49'30" East 72. 50 feet to the beginning of a t angent curve concave North-. P easterly, having a radius of 320 feet; thence Southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of 29°08'50" a distance of 162. 79 feet; thence tangent to said curve South 48°58'20" East 88. 54 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 330 feet; thence Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 30"00', a distance of 172, 79 feet; • -,thence tangent to said curve South 18°58'20". A-3297 10-30-53 That the said territory is hereby designated as "COUNTRY CLUB PARK UNIT #1". NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on the: 12th day of January, 1954, at the hour of Seven (7) o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall', Civic Center, Chula Vista, California, ' at a' regular meeting of the City Council of said City, any person owning real property with- in such territory proposed to be annexed andl having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before :the City Council and show cause why such territory 'should not be so annexed. At any time not later than the said hour set for' hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation. Such protest shall State the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby and the description and area of such property in general terms. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that proceedings are hereby initiated by the City Council of the City of Chula Vistd, and that the said City Council desires said annexation for the following reasons : 1. The uninhabited territory proposed to be annexed is contiguous to the City of Chula Vista, and in the path of the natural expansion of the residential district of the said City. 2. The said City Council desires the development of this un- -2- inhabited territory, so far as possible, to conform to the minimum standards established by the subdivision, sanitation and building ordinances of the City of Chula Vista. 3. The said City Council desires to prevent the development of sub-standard "fringe" areas along the boundaries of the said City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, to-wit, on the 17th day of December, 1953 and on the 214th day of December, 1953 in the Chula Vista Star, ‘a newspaper of general circulation published in said City, and also in a newspaper of general circula- tion published outside of the City but in the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed; said publication to be complete at least 20 days prior to the date set for the hearing. Said City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person to whom land within the terri- tory proposed to be annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll available on the date these proceedings are initiated, at the address shown on said assessment roll, or as known to said . Clerk, and to any ,person who has filed his name and address and the designation of the' lands in which he has any interest, either legal or equitable, with said Clerk. In the event any land within -the terri- tory proposed to be annexed is owned by the County of San Diego said City Clerk shall also cause written, notice of such proposed, annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such County. The notices above referred to shall be given' not less than 20 days before the said public hearing on the proposed annexation.
